My name is Paul Welden and I am a Realtor® in the Phoenix area with HomeSmart Real Estate. I own & operate this site, CheapSurpriseHomes.com, where I help home buyers find & buy homes for sale in the Surprise area. HomeSmart is a local, privately-owned Real Estate company serving the greater Phoenix area.  We are the largest realty firm in the area with close to 3,500 agents, and I am pleased to work with HomeSmart as a full time Exclusive Buyer's Real Estate Agent.

I have been helping Phoenix area home buyers since April 2005, and that is important to know because most Phoenix real estate agents quit real estate within their first year because having a successful Real Estate practice requires developing a new & unique approach to real estate as well as a large financial investment. Most agents just do the same things as every other agent by learning from and being "mentored" by outdated models, without adapting to the new & ever-changing Phoenix real estate market and without embracing new technologies. I am a different type of Realtor® and my real estate practice is different. I am an Exclusive Buyer's Agent, exclusively helping home buyers. Before I began my Real Estate career, I worked very hard (but smart) to start a real estate practice that would change things by helping home buyers, because while most other agents help home sellers, I wanted to help home buyers. My planning and perserverance paid off, and the buyers who have used my services have also succeeded by getting unbelievable deals on their homes, despite the fact that we were in a "declining" market. While most other Realtors® are struggling, going bankrupt, taking on part time jobs or failed all together, I am succeeding because I give home buyers superior customer service, access to the information necessary to make informed real estate decisions, HUD homes, REO properties, foreclosures, access to cutting edge technology and the protection & promotion of their best interests. I am an Surprise Buyer's Agent.

Although Real Estate is considered a sales business, I do not to sell anything. Instead, I take on the role of a consultant, by offering home buyers choices, guidance and advice. This unique approach to Real Estate enables my buyers to retain control during their home buying process & make informed decisions instead of being led by sales tricks and gimmicks. In doing so, by the time my buyers get their keys to thier new home, they know almost as much about their Real Estate transaction as I do. I have helped many people attain the goal of home ownership, some of whom didn't think it would be possible.
